After 3 months, of what Damo has described as “character building”, in a halo for his broken neck, Damo is finally able to get back on the bike (Well, not quite he is now cleared to drive, so no doubt he will be back around to see you soon, however under doctors’ orders he can’t return to road cycling until July!)

Not taking “No” for an answer, once the scans came back all good to remove the halo, Damo headed to the Dr’s surgery, on Tuesday the 11th of April, to have the halo removed just in time for the Easter weekend. Now that the halo has been removed Damo has jumped right into his the new stage of recovery, the process of rebuilding the strength in his neck and getting back into his routines.

Check out how a halo is removed.

While the halo has been a common site in the ONGC office for the last 3 months, it is definitely not missed. For those of you who don’t follow Damo on Facebook here are some of the posts to remember the time.
Lastly, Damo would like to thank you for all the love and support.
